About me

Infrastructure by Design — Not by Accident

Hey there, I am Peter Seidl.
I am an IT consultant specializing in Nutanix and Citrix technologies, with over a decade of experience helping organizations plan, design, and implement complex IT infrastructures. My focus has always been on architecture, design, and finding the right solution for the challenge at hand — not just deploying technology, but making it work reliably and purposefully for the businesses that depend on it.

My primary area of focus is Nutanix platform design and sizing. This covers the full spectrum of infrastructure architecture — from single-site datacenter designs to complex multi-site environments built around high availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery (BCDR). Getting the architecture right from the start, and validating that it actually fits the environment and the requirements, is something I take seriously on every engagement.

My second favourite topic is End-User Computing. What I find particularly rewarding about EUC is how it connects the datacenter directly to the people doing the actual work. When infrastructure decisions made invisibly in the background genuinely improve someone’s workday, that’s when this job feels most worthwhile.

Currently, I work as a Consultant at IF-Tech, where my primary focus — though certainly not my only one — is the Nutanix platform and EUC Projects.

Part of the Nutanix ecosystem

I’m a member of the Nutanix Multicloud Experts (MCX) Community — a group of architecture enthusiasts who share knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches to help businesses navigate hybrid and multicloud environments.

My connection with Nutanix goes beyond the community – as a regular attendee of the Nutanix Global Tech Summits, I get close-up insight into where the platform is heading — knowledge I bring directly into my consulting work.
I also contribute to projects as part of the Nutanix Professional Services team.

What this blog is about

This is where I share what I learn, build, and discover. Expect product news and release breakdowns, technical deep-dives, undocumented behaviours and edge cases, and articles that I hope are useful and occasionally inspiring — whether you’re deep in a Nutanix deployment or just curious about what’s possible.

Certifications

Certifications are part of the job, but they’re also a genuine source of structured learning and a way to demonstrate that knowledge to others.
You can find my current credentials on my Credly and LinkedIn Profiles.

Get in touch

Whether you have a question about something I’ve written, want to discuss a Nutanix or EUC challenge, or just want to connect — feel free to reach out. The best place to find me is LinkedIn.

There are only two hard things in IT:
Learning the stuff that is not documented.
And when to ignore the stuff that is.
